What happens after a customer pays

Six steps, and you can watch each one happen per order in the dashboard.

1
Connect the store

Install the free Cryologix Shopify app and assign us as your fulfilment location. There is nothing to export and no middleware to maintain.

2
Orders arrive as pick work

A paid order lands in the warehouse queue with its line items the moment it is placed, through Shopify's own fulfilment integration.

3
Picked with a scan at every step

Each item is scanned against the order, so a wrong item is caught in the aisle before it reaches the bench.

4
Packed and photographed

Packed to your spec, photographed at the bench, then labelled for the carrier chosen for that destination. Orders in before 2pm AEST leave the same day.

5
Tracking writes back

The tracking number is written to the Shopify order at dispatch, so your normal shipping notification goes to the customer without anyone touching it.

6
Stock counts update

Receipts, picks and returns adjust your Shopify inventory as they happen, so the store sells what is actually on the shelf.

For the store-side detail, read the guide to Shopify 3PL integration in Australia, or the onboarding sequence on how it works.

Watch every order move

Clients log into the same system the floor works in. This is the Overview screen, with sample data; orders, stock, inbounds, returns and billing have their own views.

Exceptions, bundles and split orders

Most of a 3PL's value shows in the orders that go wrong. This is the actual system behaviour for the three cases Shopify brands ask about first.

Packed kraft parcels with fragile and handling labels staged on shelving

Short stock

An order that lands without enough stock is held and flagged as an exception, with the missing items listed against it. When the inbound arrives, the hold releases and the order moves to picking. The hold and its reason show in your dashboard the whole time.

Bundles

Bundle SKUs are recognised, and the floor picks the components for each bundle order. Component stock is tracked separately, so a bundle stops selling when any part of it runs out.

Split and partial orders

When part of an order has to ship separately, each part carries its own status and tracking number, and the Shopify order reflects both. Nothing is marked fulfilled until it has physically left.

Dispatched daily, tracked in real time

Every order is picked, packed and dispatched before the 2pm cutoff through Australia Post and partner carriers, Australia-wide, with tracking synced back to Shopify the moment it ships.
